    When choosing a car in the second market, carefully inspect the thresholds, doors, fenders for corrosion on the welds. It is also worth inspecting the floor of the luggage compartment and the seams of the engine compartment. You should not think that all Tianas are rotten, there is simply a great chance to find corrosion in these places and on relatively young cars.

    Headlights and windshield are prone to rubbing, as in the Chinese. Thankfully they are inexpensive. Headlight lenses are quite reliable and rarely burn out. The windshield is rather weak - it can crack from a small pebble or as a result of a sharp supply of hot air from the stove to it in frost. The xenon headlight washer loves to consume liquid, but it still does not cope well with Russian road dirt. Some car owners turn it off for the winter, as a 5-liter bottle of liquid can be gone in just a couple of days.

    There are also complaints about the doors - their seals are characterized by weak fixation, which is fraught with increased noise and dirty thresholds. The door limiter does not do its job very well, and this also applies to new cars. The handles on the outside of the doors are rather weak and often break. Chrome peels off very quickly.     ABS and other components of the electronic system are not a hassle - sensors, wiring and blocks are made of very high quality. But for a car with a 3.5-liter engine, the brakes are clearly not enough - it is difficult for them to stop such power. Clearly, the engineers did not expect this car to be used as a racing variant.

    The suspension has also proved to be very reliable. Its weak point is the hub bearings, which need to be changed on a run of 100-130 thousand km or after the first serious blow. But the quality of domestic roads is to blame for such a small resource.

    Suspension elements are reliable, but not cheap. In case of their replacement, you will have to pay a tidy sum. Electronically controlled shock absorbers are expensive to repair. Chains, phase shifter, oil pump last about 150 thousand, their simultaneous replacement will hurt your pocket. The engine resource before overhaul rarely exceeds 250 thousand km.     Occasionally there are two-liter QR20DE(by car from Japan). Their resource before overhaul is about 300 thousand km, oil consumption begins after 150 thousand. Their problems are similar to the in-line four.
